The Lord's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer

from 2.50

It is hard to grasp the significance of God in flesh creating a prayer by which we communicate with Him as God in spirit. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray he meant to guide them and not restrict them. As we can only know someone by sharing our hopes, dreams, and fears with them, likewise, to know our Heavenly Father, we must never limit ourselves to reciting prayers only from memory. It is absolutely essential that we always pray knowing that God is listening to our hearts by the use of our words. Nevertheless, we should all memorize the passionate yet graceful prayer taught to us by Jesus.

"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and power and glory forever. Amen"

We must live as if in the presence of God and pray knowing that we are heard. The faith which we have been commanded to live and share with others can only be experienced while in the communion of living beings
