I am in awe of the written word and thus I have never really been able to fully support the old adage "a picture is worth a thousand words"--however, this piece of art has been the closest thing that makes me belive the spirit of that saying. To me this is the moment when you experience such emotions--joy,awe,humility-- you are simply overwhelmed. The history of Simeon just make these emotions all the more powerful. A very moving composition.

A Message from Stephen :

This year is a pivotal year for us. We have weathered many storms to grow and understand some of the challenges in creating, sponsoring, and implementing a national art competition. While I have certainly put in many hours for all of you on this, there is always someone who deserves a bigger thank you than I can do alone. My son, Andon, who has logged in hundreds of hours on this project, as the webmaster, has worked for a fraction of his value as a professional artist and programmer.
