Stephen Sawyer is a professional portait artist working primarily in oil. He does exceptional work in pastel as well. He creates beautiful portraits of children and adults, as well as corporate and family portraits. He has been sought out for Memorial Portraits for years. His work has been praised by John Howard Sanden, who is the first American Portrait Artist to receive the John Singer Sargent Award for portrait painting. This accolade came from John Howard Sanden after his first viewing of the quality of imagery and portraiture in Stephen's painting, The Storm Pilot. John called it a Masterpiece.
