All of life's experiences are filtered by our human limitations.  Jesus forever made it possible to raise the standard by which we live, move and have our being.

Life, without this filtered experiential opportunity gifted to us by Jesus, is destined to be bitter and full of disappointment.

It is true that mankind is able to be morally good without this spiritual gift but the truth is that we can only progress a short distance before we are unable to perceive the value and purpose of unselfish service to our brothers and sisters.  We may continue to do good unto others but unless we have our eye on the eternal prize we will never experience the full joy of being a child of God.
